Good evening, you live in Uk and all „Play.it“ radios now only stream within Usa (Yahoo, Aol, Cbs).
I think you might try the solution Thomas proposed me a few days ago.
    Bye.

Hello Thomas. Do you plan something?
    Impossible even with Aomplayer.
So sad, those are such great stations.

    Bye.

    Good evening everybody.

I installed the latest version and installed it :

=>Jango : – mini player through Aomplayer : never loads

    – launching Jango’s web page with Aomplayer does not work

    („script error IE8“)

    – activate Aomproxy in Aomplayer and then launch separatly

Jango with Internet Explorer 8 : works and the metadata is Ok

    in Aomrecord

    =>Pandora : – mini player through Aomplayer : never loads („script error

    IE8″)

    – launching Pandora’s web page with Aomplayer does not work

    („script error IE8“)

    – activate Aomproxy in Aomplayer and then launch separatly

Pandora with Internet Explorer 8 : songs play fine but no

    metadata.

=>Slacker :- mini flash player and mini WMP load well and the metadata is

    ok.

    – launching slacker’s web page with Aomplayer does not work

    („script error IE8“)

    — activate Aomproxy in Aomplayer and then launch separatly

Slacker with Internet Explorer 8 : songs play fine and the

    metadata is ok.

=> Yahoo Radios : useless now, Thomas should take them away from

Aomplayer, those radios do not exist anymore. Now Yahoo has made

a partnership with CBS and the player is the same as Aol Radio now.

=> Rhapsody Radios : impossible to access them through the shortcut of

Aomplayer (still that script error), but if you activate the proxy and then

open IE8 you can get access to the radios but no mediadata.

    If it can help Thomas here’s the full error message ;

    Internet Explorer Script Error

An error has occured in the script on this page

    Line : 53

    Char : 4

Error : no such interface supported

    Code : 0

    Url: http://aomrecord.de/player/pandora_mini_0.htm

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?

And then when you click yes nothing happens !

A request : do you think you could update your soft to adapt it to those

    great sites => deezer.com

    => jiwa.fr (or jiwa.fm)

Being in Germany i think you can’t choose a particular song but

    you can use the radios.

Last thing; you asked me what other soft i used : it’s „Replay media catcher“

    Good Week-end.

    Alex.

    Thanks for the answer Thomas.

I’m not on holidays; i’m working! Holidays are on August !!

I think i kind of worked it out. In fact i use Aomrecord only for the proxy. I don’t like much recording from the soundcard because it goes through an analog to digital conversion, you have to adjust the volume levels and it sometimes also record others Windows sounds.

I have another software that captures the data exactly as it’s streamed, so no quality loss at all. I run that soft, then open Aomrecord and activate the proxy to access the US only streaming sites. It works great with Pandora but i get that error with Slacker after two songs, don’t know why.

When i record with Aomrecord i don’t have that problem anymore, so the problem has nothing to do with your software.

    Good evening.

Hello, i wrote the email i used when buying the software and it did not work !

Another question, even if we can reach Yahoo Launcast & Rhapsody, i suppose i can not suscribe to their service with a European credit card .

Has someone had any success with that ?

    Bye, Alex.

Hello, is that proxy thing still available?

I tried to log in with Aomplayer by lauching Pandora, then a new window opened asking me for username and password, i entered the email adress i bought Aomrecord with as username and „testtest“ as password without result.

I tried „test“ and my identifiants in Aomrecord still without result.

What do i do now ?

    Bye.

The new „Aol Radio featuring CBS“ can only be accessed with the last version :

    5.54 .

The service appears on the left column : „Online services“/“Aol Radio“.

The Cbs streams are crap : 64kb and 22100 KHZ whereas Aol stations have been improved up to 128kb/44100 KHZ.

Good evening, thanks for the quick answer.

Unfortunatly it was impossible for me to locate the url adress of a aol radio that i opened (daft punk radio), i even tried a „url sniffer“ program without result.

Would be great if you found a trick (doubled bitrate !).

    Hasta la vista.

    Hello everyone.

Now that Aol Radio is out in Europe and Canada i wish that Aomrecord could get the metadata of the new player powered by CBS : can it be done ?

Right now we can still access the old player through Aomplayer but i suspect it won’t last as it’s not mentionned anywhere in the Aol web page.

By the way, on this page the „beta version 4.0“ is only temporary accessible to narrowband users who have problems with the CBS player.

A last question : can Thomas make it possible for the software to get the metadata of Aol Radios streamed with the last version of Winamp?

I was surprised that they are streamed at 128kb ! (whereas those stations have always had 64kb AAC on all Aol players).

    Bye.

Thanks a lot for having spent some of your time having a look at it !

I recommend highly those two sites; you can choose the songs you want to listen, make your own playlists and even listen to personalized radios.

There are over one million songs proposed for free (and legal) streaming with Deezer and nearly 600 000 with Jiwafm ! Moreover with good bitrates.

There’s a lot of buzz about them and i think you could attract new clients

if by chance one day they could be supported by Aomrecord.

Thanks again for your time and „auf wieder sehen“ !

Gutten abend (i don’t know if it’s correctlly spelled !). I’ve updated the soft

and tried the new Aol/Last-Fm service. Great job as usual Thomas; the songs

    are correctly tagged !

It will please Last-Fm users, but i won’t use it because i never liked this

service. I’ll stick with the good old Aol Radio (now only available in Usa).

    Bye !

It’s me again : i don’t know where you found that link! It works ! But for how long ? The old player has vanished from //radio.aol.fr/ and //www.aol.fr.

It’s been replaced by Last-Fm. Idem with UK.

The German Aol site has already abandonned the player for the Last-Fm clone
