Prompted to update AOMplayer but no updates found

Hi,

I am running AOMrecord 2.4.614 on Vista Business. When I open AOMplayer, I get a message reading „This version of AOMplayer needs to be updated! Please update the program via AOMrecord…“ When I click the „Look for Update Now“ link under Info & Registration, I get a message saying „Currently there is no updated version available“. How can I update AOMplayer?

Any suggestions?

I just verified with Vista Business and everything is working fine. Can you provide some more info?

Hi Tom,

The problem started after I installed and (later) uninstalled Pandora One (could just be mere coincidence). Once I click Ok to „Currently there is no updated version available“, AOMplayer closes and I am back to AOMrecord unable to use AOMplayer. One time, I was able to have AOMplayer work but at each new song, a script error would come up with error code: Object expected.

Can I try re-installing the software and use the activation code I got for this computer or will I need a new activation code?

Hi Thomas,

I uninstalled the software and re-installed it using the latest download. I then applied the latest update successfully. However, I am still getting the error message when trying to run AOMplayer „This version of AOMplayer needs to be updated! Please update the program via AOMrecord…“. I am not sure what to try next. Any suggestions?

I checked the version of the files in the installation folder and they show:

AOMrec 2.04.0614

AOMplayer 1.1.0.3

Is it consistent with what you would expect?

If I cannot use AOMplayer , how can I have AOMrecord pick up media information from Pandora without using AOMplayer?

I got the same situation after i start the AOMPlayer the program will prompt me to a dialog box saying to update my AOMrecord to the latest version though its already updated to the latest. Then clicking the OK button will quit the AOMPlayer leaving me with AOMrecord program only.. hope we can resolve this little problem..

Hi all,

I finally got the error. Sorry, this was my fault. I’ll correct this very soon – most probably this weekend – in a new update via AOMrecord.

Hi, same problem here, i have a couple of seconds to activate the proxy in Aomplayer (by ticking the box) or it just closes.
