TeilnehmerMaybe it’s just a labelling issue with „Record From this Sound Device“?
I re-enabled the Logitech device, and when I select Logitech Mic (Ultra Vision) in „Record from this Sound Device“, then „Open Mixer settings“, the settings for SB Audigy Audio came up.
Also the reverse was true, when I select „SB Audigy Audio“ on „Record from this Sound Device“, and „Open Mixer Settings“, the settings for Logitech Mic (Ultra Vision)“ came up.
So I think it could be a labelling issue with „Record from this sound device“ when there are a couple of choices available…

Teilnehmerok after some tinkering I think I’m on to something….
My main computer sound card is called SB Audigy Audio [CD80]. I recently installed a Logitech Ultra Vision webcam which has a built in microphone. When I clicked „Open Mixer Settings“ I noticed that settings for both the Logitech and SB Audigy Audio came up – perhaps causing confusion?
So, I went into Windows Device Manager and temporarily disabled the Logitech microphone. Now both „Automatic Input Search“ and „Automatic Gain Control“ worked again in AOMrecord.
There should be a way to have „Automati Input Serach“ and „Automatic Gain Control“ work without disabling the Logitech microphone, would you agree?

TeilnehmerThomas,
Is there something I can do to let AOMrecord recognize my soundcard’s input channels correctly? It used to be able to do this and for some reason it stopped. I understand it has nothing to do with IE7.
Thank you,
Mark

TeilnehmerThomas,
Thanks very much, I’m able to record again off of Live365 Radio!
However I noticed a couple of error messages in the Audio Devices tab:
Automatic input search: „AOMrecord could not detect any audio data. Please set the input manually as described in teh documentation or use the assistant.“
Automatic Gain Control: „AOMrecord could eventually not adjust the recording level to its optimum!“

TeilnehmerThomas,
I used to have IE6 before I upgraded to IE7, but the upgrade removed IE6.
With IE6, I was able to record Live365 (for example, the Trad. Jazz Radio station), before I upgraded to IE7. Now I am not able to record the same station.

TeilnehmerThomas,
I don’t know if you worked on this issue at all, but it seems to be much better in the latest version. Thank you!

TeilnehmerThanks for this suggestion. I haven’t generally experienced the songs breaking in the middle, only the mislabeling problem by the tags for the next song being transmitted a second too early.
Manual relabelling, while always available, would be cumbersome and time consuming – also, I may not have all the tag information to do this, for example I probably won’t know the album name.
Thomas, is there a setting or software fix for this, so I can get the song tags a little earlier?

TeilnehmerSeems to work when I click „Launch Selected URL“ (not „Launch client now“) from within AOM Record.

TeilnehmerThomas,
I tried the „launch client now“ button from the first screen if that is what you intended (that is, I launched AOL from within AOL record), and AOL Record still doesn’t show „current song“.

TeilnehmerThomas,
I am not the most technical person, but see the below AOL link for the „product summary“:

TeilnehmerThomas,
If the second tab is the one in which „enable station data updated by this provider“ is checked, I have selected AOL.
fyi – In AOL, when I hit „Help“ it says „America Online 9.0 Optimized SE ver. 4156.5011“. „SE means „security edition“, if that affects things.
Thanks for your help,
Mark (markah1)
