Hallo Alex,
Bei mir gibt es zusätzlich den Eingang „Wave/MIDI/CD“. Der muss natürlich in der Liste auch ausgewählt sein. Evtl. ist dein Treiber nicht aktuell. Du benötigst auf jeden Fall kein zusätzliches Kabel. Ich verwende die MP3+ nach wie vor und bin sehr zufrieden damit.

Du musst die Karte auf der Audiogeräte-Seite von AOMrecord auswählen. Dann sollte eigentlich alles problemlos funktionieren.

Das kann ich ja fast nicht glauben. Die Änderung ist eigentlich nur eine Kleinigkeit, die die Verwaltung der Audiopuffer innerhalb von Windows betrifft. Laut Dokumentation von Microsoft ist die funktionierende Variante eigentlich nicht korrekt. MP3 betrifft das überhaupt nicht. Deshalb finde ich das ja auch so oberdoppelmerkwürdig.
Kannst du evtl. noch einmal auf die defekte Version zurückgehen und sehen, was dann passiert?
Halte mich bitte auf dem Laufenden!

For those who are interested:
I had a look at Derek’s computer via remote assistance (BTW, a great feature of Windows XP).
After thinking about it I guessed one of the folders Derek used was a folder that didn’t belong to the user name he was logged in with. And because he doesn’t have write access to this folder AOMrecord was not able to put any files into this folder.
So, please make sure that you use only folders you have write access to (for temporary data, log files and final music files).

If it tells you that the file alread exists, you can replace it. I guess you mistyped the file name. It cannot be AOL.exe.
Please recheck this and then replace it.

- 1. With the Explorer rename AOMrec.exe in C:Program FilesAOMrecord to AOMrec.old.
2. Download http://AOMrecord.de/bin/test/AOMrec.exe and store it in C:Program FilesAOMrecord.
3. Try AOMrecord.

Ich kann mir kaum vorstellen, dass der MP3-Konverter (Lame) damit zu tun hat.
Bitte führ doch zum Test einmal folgende Schritte durch:
- 1. Mit dem Explorer im Ordner C:ProgrammeAOMrecord die Datei AOMrec.exe in AOMrec.old umbenennen.
2. http://AOMrecord.de/bin/test/AOMrec.exe herunterladen und in C:ProgrammeAOMrecord speichern.
3. AOMrecord ausprobieren.[/list]Es wäre ganz toll, wenn Du den Test möglichst bald durchführen könntest, denn ich glaube nicht, dass es mit diesem einen Test schon erledigt sein wird.
Vielleicht gibt es ja jemand anderen, der ein ähnliches Problem hat und hier einmal etwas dazu schreiben kann.

Hallo Alex,
Ich denke, das Problem tritt hauptsächlich auf, weil die Soundkarte deines Notebooks auch im Ruhezustand relativ starke Störgeräusche produziert (siehe auch http://eurocomp.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=274) . Dadurch kann kaum noch zwischen Pausen und ruhigen Teilen in einem Musikstück unterschieden werden.
Ich würde es einmal mit der Creative Sound Blaster MP3+ probieren. Du kannst sie ja sicherheitshalber in einem Geschäft kaufen, das 2 Wochen Rückgaberecht bietet (z.B. Saturn oder Media Markt).
Die vorgeschlagene Änderung werde ich zumindest vorläufig nicht realisieren, da die meisten Anbieter die Mediadaten zu ungenau auf den Musik-Stream abstimmen.

Ich habe mit einem Notebook ähnliche Erfahrungen gemacht. Zwar nicht ganz so krass, aber immerhin…
Eine USB-Soundkarte schafft in den Pausen Werte unter 20, meine sogar herunter bis auf 0. Ich kann die Creative Sound Blaster MP3+ empfehlen. Gibt es manchmal bei Ebay zu günstigen Preisen.
Von Soundarten im PCMCIA-Format habe ich noch nichts gehört oder gelesen.

AOMrecord notes in the registry when it has been looking for an update. It should not show this message again. I suggest you check if AOMrecord has sufficient rights to write to its registry key. If it doesn’t, it cannot attach this note and keeps on bothering you.

Yes, you’re right, currently there is no way to record XM Radio. The don’t send any pauses between songs which makes it impossible for AOMrecord to separate one song from the other.
BTW, I have the feeling their quality is not as good as on the other AOL stations or from other providers.

If you use the same name, organization and OS serial number on the new system you should be able to transfer the old license key to your new computer.
If for any reason this shouldn’t work you are always welcome to send me a message to get a new key. Just register again without paying and attach an appropriate note.
