Are you using AOL Radio inside the AOL client? If so, launch it in the IE via AOMplayer or AOMrecord.

Have a look into the Windows Task Manager to see what is loaded and what occupies CPU and memory.

Yes, it certainly is true that Windows seems to behave strange from time to time and that there are cases when it needs to be reinstalled.
But normally the origin is some strange behaving software. Always think of what you have installed or changed before a behaviour accors that wasn’t there before. A look into the software section of the control panel might help to identify the bad guy
.Speeking for myself I can tell you that my current Windows XP Professional installation was first installed in 2000. Yes, it’s true, installed in 2000 and still running. This is my everyday system for work and development and I transferred it from a desktop first to my third (or fourth) notebook meanwhile. I hope this never crashes! I probably had to reinstall more than a hundred tools and other stuff.
I have gone into the process of transferring all my software to a Vista system running on the same computer. I work on this job from time to time and I’m still not ready since a few months. BTW, I don’t really like Vista, but as a software developer… Oh God, I hope my XP never dies.

Ja, ich sehe mir das Cover-Problem schon noch an, aber es gibt auch noch ein Leben neben AOMrecord

Danke für das Kompliment. Was geschieht denn genau beim Start von AOL (De)? Hast Du es schon einmal über AOMplayer versucht? Bei mir funktioniert es nämlich. Allerdings muss der MS IE als Standardbrowser eingestellt sein.

Nochmal hallo Max,
Ich liefere jetzt die Coverbilder mit, sofern vorhanden. Sie werden allerdings erst einmal in demselben Ordner wie die Musikstücke abgelegt. Einbinden in die Tags kommt später, sobald es die Zeit erlaubt.
Vielleicht kannst Du bis dahin ja einmal im Forum einen Thread aufmachen, in dem Du beschreibts, wie man mit diversen Playern mit den Bildern umgehen kann?

Wird in der aktuellen Beta (2.4.603) schon so gemacht. Allerdings ist das mit dem Genre so ein Problem, weil MP3 ID-Tags nur ganz bestimmte Genres erlauben. Deshalb habe ich für’s Erste einmal den Text in den Tag-Kommentar geschrieben.

Ich bin ganz offen für ein neues Design. Mach doch mal einen Vorschlag. Vielleicht mit einem entsprechend bearbeiteten Bildschirmfoto.
Die technischen Infos sind mit Absicht verdeckt, weil die meisten doch keine Verwendung dafür haben.
Sieh‘ Dir doch mal die aktuelle Beta an (auf der Download-Seite) und gib ein paar Kommentare ab!
AAC kommt noch. Alles auf einmal schaffe ich nicht.

Das Problem ist behoben. Lad Dir bitte die neue Version herunter. Alle Einstellungen werden in der AOMrec.ini gespeichert. Zwei verschieden Versionen parallel wird nicht gut gehen.

Bedaure, am Wochenende und außerhalb der normalen Arbeitszeit kann ich einen solchen kostenlosen Zusatzaufwand wirklich nicht betreiben.
