Hi Thomas. I reopened my old computer and got the name of the old music card, its realtek ac97. I went to cnet and downloaded the driver, then extracted it. After i did that i do not know what to do next (or where it went, tho i do see all the files for it when it search it by name. ), its not showing as an active soundcard, i guess i just don’t get this portion. maybe someone with windows vista can walk me thru the steps of a sound driver that works for them. I also am in the dark on soundcard versus driver. Do i need both, or just the driver, ??? i have prefecty good sound systemsi n this machine, after all its three times the machine as my little one was. Dave.
Hi Thomas. I can not read your f1 and f2 files as aom will not open, it closes after i close the notice about the sound, so i do not know how to follow any manual advice instructions.. Looking at my sound devices section on controls i see realtek hdmi output, realtek digital output and realtek high def. audio. In order to help you see what is installed with this totally new sytem its a m9500f Hewlett Packard. x4 9750 Quad-core processor. 8 gb, 750 gb harddrive. -David
Hi Thomas. the ‚temp‘ line was the beginning of a recording !! I had set it to ‚do not encode while recording‘ so the temp line was unfamiliar to me (i was used to seeing WAV when i got a recording. ) now i’m getting media data and things are recording. A few questions:
in order to get media info lines for my tracks i Do or do NOT have to go thru aomplayer ? Going thru that got me the media listings but i like using my little radio365 to listen to because it shows a progress bar so i know when a song is almost over and the info box you can open hold the info for the last 8 or so songs.
i tried to go to pandora using aomplayer but it asked for a sign=in and i’m not sure what sign-in it wants (i am a member of pandora)
