    Can anyone help please – I am trying to update to the latest version but somehow I can’t.  I am currently using version 2.4616 – windows 7.  I have also tried to uninstall that version altogether but when I try to download the latest version, it won’t let me and I end up with the same2.4.616 version.  Your help is greatly appreciated.

    I think nobody will be able to answer this question because you published it under „General News“ and didn’t tell what it’s about. As you might have seen, the Forum covers several different products. Please re-publish in the correct category to give someone a chance to answer.

    P.S. Because of the mentioned version I found out that it must be about AOMrecord and I moved the topic here. I’ll try to answer in the next days. Please leave a note if the problem should be solved already.

    Jean-Claude sent me a PM with this:

    I still cannot download the latest version.  I have also installed a
    professional uninstaller programme so as to ensure that when I uninstall
    the existing version, it also rids the registry of everything related to
    that particular version.  However when I download the latest version, I
    still get the old version.  Furthermore when I press the „look for update
    button now“ (info & registration) it always say that the function cannot be
    executed now and to try later.  By the way, I have also tried disabling the
    anti-virus but it makes no difference.  I was thinking of trying to download
    the latest version on a USB from another computer but I do not know whether
    it can be done.

    Should you require any further information that may be helpful in sorting
    out this matter, I will gladly forward it to you. (I think I have already
    stated that I use windows 7)

    Jean-Claude,

    Sorry for this, but currently the latest version is not yet available for download. You can only the update feature to get it. The message „… try later“  means that you tried to check for an update too often. You’ll have to wait for a minute until you can call this feature again.

    My previous answer was according to this.

    It’ll take a few days until I compile an installer with the latest version because I’m pretty sick right now.

    No I haven’t got a clue.  I kept uninstalling the software and re-downloading it again.  I did not knowingly do anything different.  It’s a mystery.
