Y!LAUNCHcast: If you try via Tor you should get a better quality and should be able to subscribe to the PLUS version which has really good quality. Very few free proxies work with US stations because they filter too many information and their bit rate is too low.

I’m thinking about installing a proxy for US access for AOMrecord users only. Pricing would be around 2 to 5 € per month. Interested?

Hello, that’s me again !

You say that you can access Launchcast Plus with Tor, but Tor uses

Firefox and the yahoo radio player only works with internet explorer !

I’ll soon try Sirius and i’ll tell about the result.

You did not answer about the cover. Is it possible to disable that

feature?

Hello Alexandre,

You can use Tor with MS IE as well. Have a look into my last newsletter. There I mention an address that tells what to do. It’s Pandora related, but that shouldn’t be a problem.

The collecting of covers cannot be disabled currently. But it’s easy to delete them all. Just sort them appropriately in Explorer and delete them or search for all .jpg files and delete them. Nothing really time consuming.

Hello Thomas. There are two very interesting free streaming services in France : Deezer.com and the recently appeared jiwafm.com. There is a geo localisation that can be defeated with a proxi. Jiwa is great because it streams

everything at 192kb/ogg vorbis. Those two sites have signed with record labels.

Do you think you could add the support for those services within Aomrecord?

I’ve had a look at Deezer.com. Looks like a good station. I’ll dive into this deeper in the next days.

Couldn’t get to jiwafm.com. Do I understand you correctly that a proxy located in France is needed? If so, are you able to name one for testing?

Good evening, JiwaFm is like Deezer exept that the sound quality is greater.

Deezer’s songs are uploaded by users whereas the catalog of Jiwa is

brought directly by the record companies.

There’s no reason why you should not be able to access it, it’s available around the world. The only think that is not allowed for non french is to choose and play songs but even from Germany you can use the radios (at the center of the screen „jiwa pop rock“, Jiwa reggae“…).

If you can get Aomrecord to work with the radios it will work for the rest.

I hope you’ll have the time to look at it because it’s the next big thing in France.

I looked at these stations. In fact I’m not sure if I can work this out because they use a flash player. If you’re the only one requesting this, I’m sorry to say that I can’t afford this effort for a single person.

I recommend highly those two sites; you can choose the songs you want to listen, make your own playlists and even listen to personalized radios.

There are over one million songs proposed for free (and legal) streaming with Deezer and nearly 600 000 with Jiwafm ! Moreover with good bitrates.

There’s a lot of buzz about them and i think you could attract new clients

if by chance one day they could be supported by Aomrecord.
