No More Album Art with Slacker?

Haven’t used this AOM recorder in quite a while.  In the past, I had a pretty good process to get the songs and integrate the album art in to the tag.  Started recording recently again, and noticed that AOM is not putting the .jpg file of the album art in with the mp3 it encoded like it used to.  Did something change with slacker radio that AOM cannot see the album art anymore?  This is the same computer I’ve used before, so nothing has changed.  I upgraded to the latest version of AOMrecord today, but didn’t help.

Any ideas?  Thanks!

Hi Ryan,

Yes, you are almost right . Just make sure the „NOW PLAYING“ tab is the topmost one (at least once per session) and you’ll get better than ever before covers.

thanks for the reply.  That however does not seem to work.  This all used to just fine.  I guess slacker changed the way they deliver the album art.  That sucks, because that was one of the things i liked the most about this software!

I agree, that’s one thing I like myself with AOMrecord.

Could you please give me some more information? How do you start Slacker etc.? I tried it with AOMplayer and MS IE and have no problem getting the covers. Does the small window (Quickbuttons) show the cover? Is the corresponding setting checked? It definitely works here.

Slacker didn’t change a thing.

I start by opening aom and set it to start recording with next song.  Then i open IE and go to slacker.com and choose the station and click play.  I see the album art in both the small window next to the volume bar and in the main window where it shows current song playing, advertisements, etc.

I was initially using IE6 (I’m on windows xp SP2), and upgraded to IE8 to see if it fixed it, but didn’t.  As I mentioned earlier, I also upgraded AOM too, but that didn’t work either.  Strange, because when I used to use it months ago, it worked fine.  I hadn’t used it in a long while, then come back to it and doesn’t work.  And the computer it was on didn’t change at all because it just sat on my desk for all that time.

I guess I could try firefox web browser and see if that makes a difference.  I could also try it on a different computer, too.  Thanks for trying to help me out with this.

Ryan, please try on the other computer and inform me. Perhaps there is a way to have remote access to a computer where it doesn’t work. BTW, where are you located?

Ryan, can please check the following: Does this always happen or is it just the case when there is no cover displayed in the center of the player on the „Now Playing“ tab, but it is displayed in the upper left corner?
