    Hello again Thomas,

I have noticed for a while that i have been having trouble with a computer that I am running Version 2.2.536. This has been going on for about a month or so. But it seems that I lose my winsock and can no longer do anything internet wise. But i still have network access, meaning file share and stuff. I also now get tremendous amounts of recording buffers. But after doing a re-boot, all is well (at least for about 8 hours of so)

As you had suggested, i had saved a previos version of aomrecord. So what i would like to do is un-install this version and go back and see if i still have this issue. I can’t see it being any trouble with radio@aol.

My question is, is there a way to prevent aomrecord from looking for new versions so that it doesnt pop up everytime i start it? i have aomrecord in the startup’s with some command lines inserted.

I am trying to find out why all of the sudden i lose internet connection.

I will keep you advised as to the situation.

Thanks for all that you do

    Scott Vicini

byw, if you’d like to know,

    the system is a P3 933 with 128 ram.

(i could also be a router issue, so dont be alarmed as of yet)

    Hi Scott,

AOMrecord notes in the registry when it has been looking for an update. It should not show this message again. I suggest you check if AOMrecord has sufficient rights to write to its registry key. If it doesn’t, it cannot attach this note and keeps on bothering you.

    Regards

    Thomas

    Hi Scott,

Please try these steps for a test:

      1. With the Explorer rename AOMrec.exe in C:Program FilesAOMrecord to AOMrec.old.

      2. Download http://AOMrecord.de/bin/test/AOMrec.exe and store it in C:Program FilesAOMrecord.

      3. Try AOMrecord.[/list]It would be nice if you could try this soon because I think it will not be done with this single test.

Perhaps there is another one who has a similar problem and could post here, too.

      Thomas
