Cannot encode to MP3

I cannot seem to encode my .WAV files to .MP3 files.

Under the MP3, WMA tab I have MP3 selected as the encoding method.

I have Lame.exe saved in ProgramFilesAOMRecord

Do not encode while recording is NOT checked

Start Encoding with a delay of 5 seconds is set.

The files get saved as .WAV files in the temp directory.

If I use AOMEncode, I can select the files, press start, and nothing happens. If I select „delete temporary files after encoding“ the files are deleted, but I get no MP3s.

What am I doing wrong?

Sorry for answering so late! I was away for some days.

In fact it sounds as if you are doing everything right. I assume you have looked in the correct output folder and the folder is available?

When using AOMencode it shows its activity by changing the icon’s color. Did this happen? In fact AOMencode calls another task in the background to do the encoding. You can see this in the task manager with the name cmd or something similar. Please tell me if you can find this task.

I’d also like to know which OS you use and what kind of CPU, RAM etc.

sorry for my bad englisch but i try my best…

I had the same problem, i cannot encode to mp3 ogg or wma with installed encoder lame and or wm 9 codec package. Maby, it is not the best tip you ever have heard, but my problems have been away since i formated my PC and installed OS again. The only thing that have changed at the new installation was the installing of Service Pack 2 from Microsoft.

Cannot give a better tip, but now it works without any kind of problems.
