GesperrtThomas,
I am also trying Launchcast now. It seems that Musicmatch has merged with Yahoo so I am trying Yahoo again.
I am unable to get the media information at all. The title bar over the media section states „YMUSIC!LAUNCHCAST“, and I have been able to play with the recording settings to WhatUHear in order to pick up the sound signal.
Any thoughts?

GesperrtSal,
Sorry for letting you wait so long.
Please follow these steps:
– Rename MSIE.ini in AOMrecord’s program folder to MSIE.ini.old.
– Download the file http://AOMrecord.com/updates/MSIE.ini into the same folder.
Try AOMrecord and let me know if it works.
Sorry again, but I’ve been sick and moved, too.
Thomas
BTW, you should use the latest version (2.3.565). Otherwise it won’t work.

GesperrtThomas,
I just tried the new file and it did not work. In fact the title bar showing the station just shows a „dot‘ now instead of saying YAHOO! Launchcast.
And sorry, I saved the new file you gave me over the old file and did not save the old file.
My fault.

GesperrtSal,
It definitely works. I just tried again and it is also confirmed by other users. Are you sure you are using version 2.3.565 or later? It’s not that bad if the old file is lost. Was just for safety.

GesperrtThomas…I completely uninstalled the program and re-installed with v.2.3.565 and the media data still do not show up. I have a screen shot I can send you, but I do not have a host. I will send it to you via e-mail….

GesperrtThomas…no luch for me. I tried installing/uninstalling AOMRecord. The software sees the LaunchCast and has it in the „provider“ line but the media information is not there.. I will go back to just using Radio@AOL as my source. The LaunchCast radio seemed to have better sound quality though and the selection was a little better since I cannot reocrd any of the XMRadio stations….c’est la vie….Sal

GesperrtSure. I think that is fine. Is there a time that you would do that? I am behind a router/firewall, but we should be able to hook up.

GesperrtThomas,
You seem to have come up with the answer. The AOMRecord program is able to see all the media information from LaunchCast.
Very well done.
Thank you.
