When recording, I get nothing in the artist section, Made it:3 in the Title section and the song name shows up in the Album title section. Because of this, the music isn’t saving with any info that can identify it. I have downloaded the new update and that’s when the Made it: 3 showed up. Also at the top left of the window where the symbol and AOMrecord is, it looks like this AOMrecord . . Made it: 3 . Do you have any help for this? Other than this problem, I love the product. I look forward to any help.

Hi Bert,
I can’t reproduce what you described. I just launched Y!MUSIC LAUNCHcast with several different stations and it’s working fine with AOMrecord. I don’t use the Y!Messenger and no LAUNCHcast Plus Station either.
Can you give us some information?

Thomas, here is a link with a picture of what is going on. As stated, the Made it: 3 is there and the song name is showing in the album section instead of the song title section. Please keep in mind that in the image, the song is the same name as the album. I can’t get any band name info or song title info. Thanks for all of your help. I love the program, but just hope we can figure this out.
Bert, I can’t see a big difference. There is only one that I can recognize: You use the high quality player which I can’t use because I don’t have a Plus subscription. Could you please try with medium quality and tell me the result?

Still the same problem. Also as a note, the High quality is unbelievable. Haven’t found a streaming radio as clear as this. That’s mainly why I am so dissappointed. What is the Made it: 3 that shows up everywhere? I hope we can figure this out. Look forward to hearing from you.

OK, lets try some tests. Hope you are a bit familiar with computers. 1st of all: You of course have the latest version of AOMrecord installed
. Please look into the file msie.ini inside AOMrecord’s program folder (can be done with any text editor). There must be a line almost exactly in the middle of the file that looks like this:[- Yahoo! MUSIC LAUNCHcast / Yahoo! MUSIC(K) Radio DE/FR in MS IE 9.9.06]
Please compare the date. Is it the same? If not, this file is destroyed and I can send you a new one. If it is, are you able to save the player window and mail it to me (attention, it may save as a file plus a folder with some files)?

This file is definitely correct. Doesn’t make any sense to send you another file. Now there’s only one way left: I need access to your computer. Tell me whether you can do this via Remote Assistance and when.

I tried the ini file that you send me and it seems to fix the problem. The only minor problem is that it displays the wrong name for the album: if i recall correctly, it shows the same name as the title of the song. Everything else (title and artist) looks good.
I just received the exe from you. Is it the same thing or something new? I will give it a shot tonight.
Question/request, you may want to consider adding the option to record or not record a song depending of the rating (yahoo rating, 0 to 4 stars) of the song. example: only record songs that have 2 stars and above. Just an idea.

No, what I sent you is a test program to find out where these data are located. I know about the album problem and try to fix it with the output from this program.
I don’t know if the rating idea is wanted by other users, too. You could make an own thread for this if it is worth to you and if you want to ask others, too.
